Invite to first community meeting:
The object of the Montana Food Economy Initiative is to strengthen regional food economies throughout our state. Over the past few months AERO has been working with a team of local food advocates to identify problems and generate possible solutions relating to the Helena region. As a part of this process our regional team is seeking community feedback – this meeting is a place to voice your opinions and build relationships among those already active in the regional food system to help identify opportunities for improvement and to encourage future collaboration.
Please join us Wednesday, August 1st at the Lewis and Clark Library Large Meeting Room for a two-hour interactive, exploratory discussion featuring locally sourced snacks and followed by social time to visit with other members of our local food economy. You’ll be joined by local farmers, ranchers, market vendors, educators, producers, distributors, and community leaders. Aspiring farmers and ranchers, as well as local food advocates and entrepreneurs are also encouraged to attend!
Please note: To plan for a focused discussion, we are gathering information on the number of attendees. Kindly RSVP whether or not you plan to attend before July 25: MFEI Helena Community Meeting: RSVP
Look for a reminder email from us about the event a week prior which will include specific questions and topics to think about in advance of our gathering.
